some photos of my new case

Just couple of days ago I received the 'Dell Wrap Around Carrying Case for Dell XPS M2010 Notebook'. As it is not available on the Dell UK website I ordered from USA and a friend of mine that lives in USA sent it to me and as Dell didn't post yet any photos on their website of this case here are some of mine in case you would like to see how it looks.

The funny thing is that on the Dell Website this case is in category 'Slim & Light' Cases which I find it funny as a case itself weighs about 5kg and is not really a wrap-around but is a roller case as you can see on the photos. Anyway I'm happy that my laptop is now protected while travelling and going every day to office and back home not to mention how inconvenient it was to carry 8kg laptop around in one hand.

So laptop and case is a tad this side of 30 pounds?

Ah good old steam engine technology...

You know, we have electricity now.....

It probably includes a good few layers of fire-proofing

I know it's not exactly the lightest laptop out there but it's very comfortable to work on. Sometimes you just have sacrifice one thing (weight) in order to get the other (comfort)

Isn't it easier to get one of those mini PC cases and carry around an LCD?

Actually that looks like a neat computer, so long as you don't need to carry it around much.

Yeah, almost... But I gues those mini pcs are not as powerful as this one.

Do you have the model number of this? I just got a M2010 and want to get this case for it, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!

Actually it does have a battery. I think it's 12-cell and it holds about 2-3 hours depending on the use of computer.
